POLDING ATHLETICS
On Friday, 13 September, Prouille had two students representing CSBB at the Polding Athletics Championships at Hunter Sports Centre.
Sophie (Year 5) took part in the Senior Girls 800m while Amelie (Year 4) competed in the Junior Girls High Jump.
Both girls were up against extremely tough competition with athletes representing all Catholic schools across the upper half of NSW.
Sophie ran an incredible race in her 800m and was just pipped for third after a frantic finish. Well done, Sophie, for a wonderful effort.
Amelie was up against the elements during her High Jump with wind and rain persisting throughout. Despite the trying conditions, Amelie performed incredibly well and came FIRST and qualified to represent Polding at the 2024 NSWPSSA Athletics Championships.
This event takes place over October 23-24 at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre. Congratulations to both girls and we wish Amelie all the best.
POLDING FOOTBALL
In August, Darcey C (Year 6) went to Tamworth to represent Polding in the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association Football Championships.
In reaching this stage, Darcey successfully progressed from the Broken Bay trials to the Polding trials and now the NSWPSSA Championships. She plays games across Tuesday to Friday this week and is vying for a place in the NSWPSSA squad to attend the Australian Nationals Football Championships.
What an incredible achievement and we wish Darcey all the very best.
