PROUILLE WINS 2024 CSBB PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION!

A huge congratulations to Year 6 Prouille student, Illaria, who has won the CSBB Public Speaking Competition.
Congratulations also to Year 6 Prouille student, Georgia, who also made it to the grand final and proudly represented our school.
The CSBB Public Speaking Competition commenced a few months ago with over 1,000 Year 6 students. The competition progressed through individual school competitions, to cluster competitions across the Diocese, and culminated in our grand final at the end of Term 3 with 12 students.
The format of the final was a three-minute prepared speech and an impromptu speech.
Illaria’s prepared speech topic was: “Imagination is more important than knowledge” (Einstein) and Georgia spoke about “The Power of Music”.
Congratulations to Illaria for her win and for Georgia for making it to the final 12 in a very tough competition.
We are incredibly proud of both Illaria and Georgia’s achievements in public speaking this year; to reach the grand final is testament of their incredible talent and perserverance.
Congratulations to all the students represented in last night’s final and the standard of the performances.
Thank you to CSBB for organising the competition and the adjudicators, including Danny Casey, CSBB Director of Schools, who attended last night’s final.
